🎓🎓Graduation Cap Decorate/Design 🎓🎓 in Google Classroom

🎓🎓Graduation Cap Decorate/Design 🎓🎓

You will be receiving a graduation cap for this year's graduation ceremony. IF YOU WANT -- you can decorate or design the top (flat) portion of your cap.

Make sure its facing right side up when you wear it so the people behind you can see it. (NOT the people in front of you)
Be neat as possible. Have someone help you.
Some ideas are including the school, the year, the school mascot, a quote, flowers, gems etc.
Supplies you may need: scissors, foam sheets, glitter sheets, glue gun, adhesive gems, fabric or ribbons, fake flowers, washi tape, acrylic paints. Etc.
Make sure you can still insert the tassel and it can still hang.

NOTE: A glue-gun will be necessary. Elmer's School Glue and a Glue Stick will not be sticky enough for the cap.
Please review all the pictures attached to give yourself an idea of what you would like to put on your hat.

Remember! You want it to be very neat because you will wear this on graduation day. Also, make sure the tassel is still able to hang. Have fun and be creative!

5/14 Graduation Speech

Learning Target- How can we write an inspiring speech for our fellow classmates?
1. Think about the message you want to convey to your fellow graduates.
2. Write a speech that includes the following criteria. Your speech may be selected to read at our final assembly ceremony.
3. View the videos attached.

Criteria:

Approximately 2-3 minutes long when spoken. This translates to 1-2 typed pages. Use size 14 Font.
Theme- "A  Million Dreams"
Introduction- Introduce yourself and address the members of the audience. (principals, parents, teachers, and fellow classmates.)
Use formal and appropriate language. You should be yourself, friendly and even add some humor. You want to keep your audience interested!
Body Paragraphs - Include an inspiring quote/message you want to convey. It can be related to perseverance or something from the song "A Million Dreams." Be sure to explain the quote you chose and what it means to inform listeners.
You may want to also talk about your time at P.S. 32 like class trips, carnivals, and other memories (do not mention specific teachers or friends' names; keep it general) and how you and your classmates will miss the teachers, school and all your friends.
You can discuss broadly what you learned and what obstacles you and your classmates have overcome.
Conclusion- Thank your family, teachers and friends to close your speech. You may want to leave your classmates with some final words, advice or maybe another quote. You may also link back to the quote you wrote in the beginning of your speech. You can also state possible goals and dreams for the future.
You will have one week to work on your speech. Everyone has to turn it in but if you do not wish to be selected to actually give the speech at graduation, you can just let your teacher know. Good luck everyone. We can't wait to read them all!
