Dear Parents,
In the past the second grade students have done a heritage project. We have taught them all about immigration and how people have come from all over the world to live in America. Since we are unable to do the full project we would like to still do a few fun activities. Starting on and around
June 1st I would like the kids to have the following things prepared to share with the class:
* Where their family is from.
* A picture of the flag representing their heritage.
* A recipe of their favorite food representing their heritage.
Some students may have one or more nationalities. They can choose to represent just one of them or they can do them all!
We are hoping that in the end the students will gain some knowledge of all different nationalities and get a few recipes and try some new and exciting foods! Please send me a picture of the recipe your child has chosen either over dojo or attached to this assignment. I will add them below so everyone can print them to make a heritage cookbook!! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Fleming
